I turned on the radio as I was driving home this afternoon. The soothing sounds of NPR are a constant companion in my little old Civic. This particular afternoon, Talk of the Nation was broadcasting live from Fort Hood in Texas. It was the memorial service at the site of a tragic shooting just days ago where 13 people were killed and 43 were wounded.

There are a few interesting new shows in this Fall's lineup that I've been wanting to check out. Top on the list was the mysterious FlashForward. Kara and I started watching it via Hulu a little over a week ago and we're intrigued.
The Broncos are for Real
The Denver Broncos are for real. This off-season everyone wrote off the Broncos as a team going nowhere, trading away their only prized possession in Jay Cutler. When Cutler went to Chicago pundits jumped the Broncos ship like rats on the Titanic... on fire.
