Kara and I went out last night to catch Zombieland on opening night. What a blast!!! This has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.
I was just asked what my top zombie movies would be and I thought that question deserved a post. So my top 5 Zombie movies are...
It's Raimi's vision that makes Drag Me to Hell a gleeful fright-fest. This is campy horror (on a big budget) that didn't sell out. All of Raimi's old cinema tricks from Evil Dead make this a fun and scary movie.
One of my favorite movies of the summer has been Pixar's latest film - UP. As usual Pixar fills the screen with eye candy. Every frame of UP is visually breathtaking. But what has always separated Pixar films from the rest is the excellent storytelling. Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and Finding Nemo weren't sucessful just because the computer animation was awesome. It's because the stories were so compelling. The same is true for UP. In fact, UP, might be among the best stories in an animated feature in my lifetime. Sorry, Little Mermaid.
Thanks to Brandon McDonald for pointing this one out. A prequel to Lord of the Rings done by a bunch of volunteers. Send to Facebook
