Bulldogs

I like these dudes. I suppose there's a part of me that still likes Bulldogs because they were our high school mascot, but you can't deny the essential cuteness to an English bulldog. My wife likes small dogs, I tend to like medium to big dogs. But a Bulldog is something that we can agree on. So what about you? Dogs or cats? Big or little? Indoors or backyard?

I personally like Labrador Retrievers the best. They are great with kids, intelligent, loyal, athletic, and express their emotions in wonderful ways.
When we moved to DC we decided to leave our black lab with a great family in KC. I think of him almost daily.
OMG...my Junior High mascot was the Bulldog!!! In High School we upgraded to the Cougar.
My great-grandparents had a series of pugs when I was little. Each called Pudgie. I loved those dogs. They have that snort thing though, but its endearing.
Dachshunds are very attached to people. That's a major reason that I am in to them. They also can surprise creatures many times their size. Check out this U-Tube:

i like bulldogs, i used to love them, but then i was informed that since they 'aint natural' breed-wise they have to be delivered via c-section because it's impossible for them to pass through their mother's you-know-what without killing her. That kind of made me rethink it all. Just didn't seem right on some fundamental level.
My favorites are Old English Sheepdogs and Rottweilers. Those are GREAT dogs.
I grew up LOVING schnauzers. Still do. My favorite family dog was Sherlock Holmes Lyons, a solid-black miniature Schnauzer. He was wonderful.
But I always liked bulldogs for their ugly-cuteness. My first (and favorite) pound puppy was a bulldog named "Pounder."
I look forward to having a "Bulldog child" with you, my love. I hope it's one we're able to rescue and help! (Whether Irenaeus or Thekla or something else ...)
Bulldogs are awesome. As we have seen from MTV's Rob and Big, Bulldogs catch on to skateboarding very easily. The downside is that Bulldogs smell really bad, and keeping up their hygiene is much more difficult than other breeds. They always smell, even after baths. I must say, the demeanor of a Bulldog is worth all the extra pampering. My best friend has one.
