And I must say that I like how the Dear Lord Baby Jesus in the photo you supplied looks like he could be saying skeptically, “Seriously, people, you’re worshipping me? That’s so lame.” It’s all in the sagging eyes and the casual sucking pose.

This makes me thing of Franny saying the Jesus prayer. I guess Salinger had a similar point.
