I couldn't get the podcast to play. but i saw him on i think the charlie rose show. and I think i heard that on point show. any how, having not yet read the book i liked the little bit of what he was saying that I have gathered. i am not a fan of other things he has written (but then if I was that would be weird cause we shouldn't all think the same) any way, but i did like what I was hearing.

having not read the book I can't really say much more about the book.

but if I understand the main idea I think I like it.

you should buy me the book chuck.

I liked what he had to say. His idea that we're better off serving than doing anything else seems simplistic, but it also seems to work. I remember an argument that waged in a denominational paper once, and the final word was from a man of wisdom who asked "Are the hungry fed, are the orphans and widows cared for?" He didn't see how we could possibly have time to argue over such things when there was still work to be done. I doubt Boyd will have much impact though. I could be wrong. 4000 church members can be a strong force.
