A Truly Universal Remote

Logitech.jpg Have you ever bought a “Universal Remote” only to find out that it wasn’t? I know I have. So instead of three or four remotes you really just cut it down to two or three. Well look no further than Logitech’s line of “Harmony” remotes. I picked up the XBOX 360 version (which has the XYAB buttons added in). You plug this puppy into your computer (Mac or PC) via USB and then add all your devices on their handy online setup. Then you create “activities” with all your devices.

For example I have an activity called “Play XBOX 360” when I select that the remote turns on the TV, My XBOX 360, and the Sony Receiver (all while turning the TV and Receiver to the right inputs). Then if I select “Watch TV” it will turn off the XBOX 360 and the Sony Receiver and switch the TV to the right input. My friend at Best Buy said “if they made it, make it, or will make it this remote will control it.” So far he’s been right, and I love it! It will even control lights/fan if you’ve got that on a remote.

Do you have it attached to your belt? You know so you never have to get up....ever. ;-)

And couldn't they make it any smaller? Dang this new technology is so bulky.

You get the Geek of the Week award.

Mwah!
