Greetings fellow sinner,
today marks the beginning of Lent. This is the second year that I’ve had the privelage of presiding over our Church’s Ash Wednesday’s imposition of Ashes. Last year was a first for our church so we got our ashes off the internet but we had made the necessary preperations this year, burning last year’s Palm Sunday branches and mixing the ashes with Olive Oil. We met at 6am in a local Cemetery while the sun began to rise. Along with the traditional scriptures I read a great piece from Stuart Malloy. Check it out here.

Hey Chuck, want to take up The Lent Challenge?
It’s not too late and there’s lots of us doing it.
I’m in a New Testament Theology class right now that’s requiring me to read the entire New Testament in very short time, so I’ve actually only got Luke left to go, but still it’s a great challenge.
I really enjoy listening to the Bible… something about getting back to the oral tradition (and the drama of a good reading). There are some good audio bibles out there, check ‘em out.
I read the Old Testament and Apocrypha on Tuesday to prepair for Lent. But ya, good job Charlie.
The whole thing huh? Good on ya mate!
