The image of the guy riding out on the tricycle messed me up so bad i turned it off and refuse to look back. THE SHINING scared me more than any other movie ever.

Sorry I missed you Halloween horror movie kick, but here are some suggestions. Several of these are foreign (as you might expect from me) so go into them with an open mind that is alert enough to do some reading.<br/><br/>1) Rosemary's Baby (1968) - a classic Polanski (director of Chinatown) than I noticed was not mentioned.<br/><br/>2) Spoorloos (aka The Vanishing 1988) - This is more of a thriller with a horror twist.<br/><br/>3) Nosferatu - Two versions. One is a classic silent film. That's just a heads up to everyone else. If you want to rent some good scary movies, think Christmas Eve! I did end up picking up "The Haunting," which I know nothing about, so we'll see. And tucked away behind another movie I did come up with the Special Edition of The Shining so I have a classic to watch no matter how this other one turns out. The Thing and Dead Alive were both out at Blockbuster, so I'll get them on my online renting thang, thanks again for the reccomendations Eric. And yeah... Event Horizon was just flat out evil (nightmare enducing even!).<br/>I've seen the latest Dawn of the Dead, thought it was a decent Zombie movie, but no where near as good as 28 Days Later, which was just a scary movie from start to finish, no cheesy mall guards to distract from the terror.<br/>I'll have to check out The Thing.<br/><br/>and who could forget the Evil Deads, although they're much more scary/comedy than all out horror.<br/><br/>and Dead Alive?
